Behind the Canvas
Behind every stroke is a story. Explore my art for a glimpse into my world.

Exploring emotion through color and form.
The Artist
"I create art for life — art to live with, not just to look at. My work is about color and form as a way of opening space, sparking joy, and reminding us of what it means to be human.
I work out of an old 1830s schoolhouse in the West of Ireland, and part of the year I’m in Portland, Oregon, close to family. Moving between these two worlds keeps me grounded and inspired — rural quiet on one side, city energy on the other.
I follow intuition more than rules. Every painting is an exploration, a way of searching out the full potential of expression. I hope each piece brings warmth, curiosity, and new discoveries into the spaces where people live their everyday lives"
Signature Pieces
"For years, my work was private, shared only with close friends. Now, through museum-quality prints that are virtually indistinguishable from the originals in color, texture, and tone, I’m excited to share my art more widely. Whether in the form of bold, expressive line work or the textured richness of tufted compositions, my work invites curiosity, introspection, and connection."
Art in Practice
From vision to canvas, from pigment to feeling.
The Artist’s Approach
"I create intricate, layered artworks that explore the interplay between chaos and structure, using acrylic paint, ballpoint pen, and tufted textiles. My work is defined by a bold, playful use of color, bringing energy and depth to each composition. While I often begin with a specific idea—like the eyes in a Van Gogh painting—what follows is a free-spirited, intuitive escapade driven by curiosity and whimsy, allowing the piece to evolve naturally. This process enables me to dive deep into the psyche, unraveling layers of emotion, memory, and subconscious symbolism that might otherwise remain hidden."
The Artist’s Palette
"In addition to my drawn and painted works, I craft tufted wall tapestries using hand-dyed Estonian wool, carefully selecting and dyeing colors to achieve the perfect tones and textures. To make all my work more accessible, I offer only high-quality prints on paper."
